El Scorcho Film Festival 2012
Le Putas del Cinema* cordially invites you to the opening of the El Scorcho Film Festival on Thursday, the 5th of July 2012, 3 pm at the Dhaka Art Center.
The El Scorcho Film Festival is an attempt to spark an interest in the discussion of movies as art and to reintroduce the audience to the communal nature of the moviegoing experience. For this reason we have programmed a series of films, ranging from mainstream blockbusters to art-house critical darlings, which shall be screened from Thursday to Saturday on the first two weeks of July (July 5th-7th and July 12th-14th).
Each day’s programming will have two feature films (one at 3:00 p.m. the other at 6:00 p.m.) as well as an overarching discussion that will continue before and after each screening.
