Programs 2012

The Dhaka Art Center galleries offer a range of regular programming personally selected by the Board of Trustees. The film program specializes in the showcasing of important film and video, both fiction and documentary as well as alternative and independent film. The music program sponsors concerts and live performances that feature Indian classical and contemporary Bengali artists. The Dhaka Art Center also arranges a series of art camps and artist workshops to bring together new and established Bengali and international artists for an intensive collaborative experience that inspires thought and innovation in the artistic community. The Center hopes to present a regular lecture series by noted art historians, critics and artists to engage public interest in art history and new and innovative artists and art forms. The Dhaka Art Center also offers artwork from its personal collection to private collectors.
