1969: BFA, College of Arts & Crafts (presently Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka), Dhaka.

2004 : Atish Dipankar Gold Medal,
2004 : Palok Award, Palok Shishu Sahitya Sangsad,
2004 : Chandrabati Gold Medal
2007 : Poet Abu Zafar Obaidullah Award,
2007 : Begum Faizunessa Gold Medal.

Group Exhibitions

1970–2007 : Over 70 group shows at Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bonn, Berlin, London, Hong Kong, Brazil and Bangladesh,
including all Dhaka Art Circle exhibitions since 1995.

Positions Held

Worked in Bangladesh National Herbarium for 35 years and retired as Chief Artist in 2005.
