1972 : S.S.C., Government Laboratory High School, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
1978 : B.F.A., Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
1980-81 : Research Course, Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, Poland.
1982 : Japanese Language Course, Osaka University of Foreign Language, Japan.
1982-84 : Studied Oil Painting under Prof. Fumeiko Yamamoto of Tsukuba University, Japan.
1986 : M.F.A., Tsukuba University, Japan.
1995 : Visiting Teacher (Art & Design Dept.), North Carolina State University and
Visiting Artist in Residence, USA.


Awards

1992 : Received 2nd Acrylic Award at the 17th International Miniature Art Show, Florida, USA.
1992 : Received 3rd prize at Seascapes in the 7th International Miniature Art Show, Georgia Miniature Art Society, Georgia, USA.
1993 : Received 2nd Acrylic Award at the 18th International Miniature Art Show, Georgia Miniature Art Society, Georgia, USA.
1994 : Received Gold Medal Award of the 11th National Art Exhibition at Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka.
1999 : Received 2nd prize in Drawing at Saju Art Gallery, Dhaka.
2000 : Received Saju Art Gallery Award for Painting.
2000 : Received 2nd Best prize at Artist’s Association Exhibition.
2000 : Received Best prize at the 14th National Art Exhibition at Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka.
2001 : Received Honorable Mention Award at the 10th Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka.
