Education

1961 : BFA, Government Institute of Arts, Dhaka (presently Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka).
1961-63 : Research Scholar in Ceramics, Government Institute of Arts, Dhaka.
1979 : Short-term training on Book Design and Illustration from ACCU, Tokyo, Japan.

Awards

Ekushe Padak (Bangladesh's highest civilian award for contribution in the field of arts), 1992

Positions held

Taught at the Government Institute of Fine Arts, Bangladesh, for 44 years and retired as Professor in 2007
